Full Stack Engineer (Python/React)
Location: Hybrid, London
Contract Type: 5 days a week, full-time
Start Date: ASAP

We're looking for a skilled Software Engineer to support a secure platform used for large-scale data processing and cyber analytics. This is an exciting contract opportunity to contribute to a mission-critical environment, working closely with engineering teams to develop and improve high-volume, high-velocity systems.

Key Responsibilities

Investigate and resolve system issues via proactive monitoring and dashboards
Design and build critical applications for data analysis and querying
Optimise system performance through code reviews and refactoring
Develop new ways of visualising and querying large datasets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support 1st line operations and maintain platform health
Document support processes and provide technical guidance where needed

Required Skills & Experience

Strong experience in Python 3 and PySpark
Hands-on with Elasticsearch, including tuning and data discovery
Proficient with distributed datasets (HDFS, CEPHFS)
Frontend development with React, NextJS, MUI
Familiarity with Scala for data insights and ad hoc queries
Infrastructure tooling like Ansible and Puppet is a plus
Background in networking, protocol analysis, or ethernet stacks
Strong debugging, scripting, and software testing capabilities
