Database Infrastructure Engineer

Project Description

Our client is currently seeking a Database Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d) with expertise in Postgres, Kafka, EFK, and Azure for the "Additional Cloud Services" (ACS) project. This project aims to provide a standardized and unified service landscape based on technological standards offered as a service in the data center to transition from on-premise solutions to a hybrid cloud IT strategy. The ideal candidate will assist in the design, implementation, deployment, and ongoing operation of ACS, providing expertise in Database as a Service using PostgreSQL, Middleware as a Service utilizing Apache Kafka, and Observability as a Service with the EFK-Stack (Elastic Search, Fluentd, Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana). Requirements include experience in database infrastructure design and implementation, familiarity with Azure cloud platforms and services, knowledge of database security and availability mechanisms, proficiency in database systems monitoring and troubleshooting, as well as experience in building cloud infrastructure including FinOps, Disaster Recovery, Observability, Security, and IAM. The role is full-time, with a possibility of extension, starting on September 2nd, 2024, and can be done remotely, with potential onsite work near Frankfurt for onboarding.
