Project Description
Our client, an energy provider, is in need of a System Administrator (m/f/d) starting in September, with strong expertise in both Windows and Linux systems. The role will be 75% on-site in Hamburg and 25% remote, with a duration from September 2024 to February 2026. The project involves harmonizing IT systems due to a company merger, requiring support in server/storage/data backup activities. Responsibilities include setting up and integrating IT infrastructure, managing Windows and Linux servers, providing technical expertise in VMware vSphere, and troubleshooting virtual and physical server systems, particularly Dell PowerEdge. Additionally, the role involves offering consulting services in integrating server systems into solutions like Commvault for data backup and TrendMicro-Deepsecurity for security. Candidates must have several years of experience as a System Administrator, possess in-depth knowledge of VMware Sphere, Windows Server, Linux Server, Dell Powerstore and Poweredge, and familiarity with data backup/recovery of virtual machines and IT security. Excellent German language skills are required.
