Data Protection Manager

Project Description

A leading global manufacturer in the construction industry is seeking a data protection project manager to enhance and upgrade its data protection organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting a gap analysis of the current data protection setup and devising an action plan for its improvement across the Group. Key duties include implementing this plan in collaboration with various departments, acting as the primary contact for data protection issues within Group Legal & Compliance, providing guidance to departments on data protection matters, and assisting in discussions with the workers' council. The candidate should possess a degree in information technology, economics, or law with a focus on data protection, have extensive experience in data protection and with workers' councils, a demonstrated track record of establishing data protection frameworks in an internationally operating company, a deep understanding of IT technicalities and the ability to convey them clearly, proactive and independent work approach, and proficiency in English with German language skills being a plus.
