We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team for a long-term collaboration, specifically to assist in transitioning our Firestore data to BigQuery and supporting ongoing data engineering requirements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and finalizing the BigQuery schema, developing ETL processes, optimizing BigQuery for reporting and analytics purposes, and collaborating with the team to understand data needs and offer solutions. Troubleshooting data-related issues and participating in discussions during EST hours are also key aspects of the role. Requirements include proven experience with Google Cloud platforms, strong SQL skills, familiarity with Cloud Functions and serverless architectures, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in the food or restaurant industry and familiarity with data visualization tools.
