Project Description

For our project IT_1607, we are looking for a specialist located in Leipzig to start on July 22nd, 2024, and work until December 31st, 2024, in a remote capacity. The project, PKM Migration, involves transferring tariff data from over 70 transportation associations from a relational data storage to an XML-based industry standard (PKM) within Deutsche Bahn AG. The challenge lies in migrating existing data to new structures while continuing operations and developing product modules to ensure full operational capability. The tasks involve data transfer (ETL) and product module creation (PKM development). The focus of the role is on ETL, requiring guidance from a dedicated Talend expert to efficiently develop over 60 association-specific processes. The responsibilities include advising the ETL team on Talend-related questions, migrating from Talend Open Source to Talend Enterprise, CI/CD build, employee training, knowledge transfer, and documentation. The mandatory requirements include expertise in Talend Open Studio (6.5-7.3) and Talend Enterprise 8, Java toolchain setup and integration with Continuous Build & Deployment, ETL knowledge, and at least B2-level German language proficiency according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages.
