We are searching for a skilled Senior Analytics Data Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis, requiring a minimum of 40 hours per week for a long-term collaboration. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, Data Infrastructure Engineer, or Software Engineer. They should also possess expertise in data modeling, data mart design, data transformations, data governance, data lineage, and data observability, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and database programming is required, with knowledge of Ruby and other languages considered a plus. Experience with AWS or similar cloud databases and data management frameworks (such as dbt, coalesce, Monte Carlo), as well as familiarity with Looker PDTs and LookML, will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate with stakeholders of varying expertise levels, and a background in agile best practices for code development and deployment are necessary for this role. Responsibilities include implementing transformation and governance platform tools to enhance data platforms, collaborating with business users on data mart models and product specifications, assessing data integration needs, ensuring data integrity, working on instrumentation needs and established data pipelines, optimizing database performance, and ensuring uptime. It is important for applicants to have excellent English skills, and note that this is a contractor position with no employee benefits included in the contract.
