Project Description

A client is seeking an experienced data scientist or machine learning expert to develop a highly accurate predictive model for a two-player sport using historical data. The project involves analyzing and cleaning the dataset, identifying key variables, building and validating a predictive model, optimizing its performance, and validating accuracy on unseen data. Requirements include proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages, sports analytics familiarity, and strong communication skills. The deliverables include a cleaned dataset, a predictive model with high accuracy, detailed documentation, and maintenance recommendations. Preferred qualifications include previous experience in sports predictive modeling, a portfolio showcasing accuracy, and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly. The goal is to achieve at least 80% accuracy on validation tests.
