Our client in NRW is currently seeking a Data Governance Expert (m/f/d) for a 50-70% remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for advising on the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy aligned with organizational goals and business priorities. This role will also involve providing guidance on enforcing data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance. Stakeholder management for prioritizing data initiatives based on business value and impact, consolidating data management practices, designing data models and frameworks to facilitate seamless data integration, storage, and accessibility, and developing master data management solutions for consistency across various data sources are key responsibilities. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in analyzing business requirements into actionable data solutions using data analytics to enhance business value, and identifying opportunities for optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within the data management ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data management with a focus on data strategy, governance, and centralization, a strong understanding of business processes, dependencies, and drivers across functional areas, deep expertise in data management technologies including master data management, data integration, and metadata management, experience in leading data governance initiatives, establishing data quality frameworks, and ensuring, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, as well as proficiency in both German and English.
