Project Description

One of our major clients is seeking a freelance Data Engineer to assist in the development and maintenance of Machine Learning & AI applications supporting various departments of statutory accident insurance carriers. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data collection, cleansing, and transformation for a comprehensive industry solution within the field of statutory accident insurance, as well as creating and maintaining data presentation dashboards, establishing and managing data pipelines, and exploring new application areas for AI-based solutions. Requirements include solid knowledge in SQL, data transformation (pipelines, real-time processing), and data management (databases, data warehouses), proficient programming skills in Python (mandatory) and ideally in Java with Apache Spark, experience with Docker (mandatory) and ideally with Kubernetes / Kubeflow, a minimum of two years of professional experience as a Data Engineer in projects, preferably in the insurance sector, and excellent German language skills. The project duration is 12 months with a 100% workload, primarily remote (approximately 80%), with occasional on-site work in Hannover or at the client's premises.
